Hello! My name is Marilyn Velásquez Alvarado. I was born and raised in Leymebamba, Chachapoyas, a place I have always called home. My grandmother Mercedes also lived here. As we walked from village to village, where she served as a midwife, she shared with me all the secrets of our ancestors.
As a child, I quickly became fascinated by the richness of my culture and the passion of my people. I learned about life’s purity, freedom’s strength, the true meaning of balance, and the beauty of loving oneself and others.
That’s why, after earning a tourism degree at university, I created this company offering transformative and regenerative travel experiences for families, solo travelers, and groups of friends.
I discovered that travel is the lifeblood coursing through my veins—it is my soul. Later, in Chachapoyas, I founded a café, a space to promote local, organic cuisine and artisanal products. I wanted to share love and admiration for my community with adventurous travelers.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I began designing mandalas inspired by the art and iconography of my Chachapoya culture. Over the years, this evolved into Nuevos Caminos Mandalas, an active meditation method that helps you find harmony and fulfillment, promotes intercultural understanding, and supports environmental protection.
My grandmother and mother taught me how to navigate life. And now, since turning 40, I feel more inspired than ever to share their secrets with you.
This is why I’ve created these incredible new physical and spiritual journeys. My community and I would be delighted to share them with you.
