Terms and Conditions for Reserved Tours

We thank you for choosing Nuevos Caminos Travel. We kindly ask that you review the following terms and conditions. Once we receive your request and deposit, we will sign a contract under the following conditions.

RESERVATIONS AND CONDITIONS

Nuevos Caminos Travel requires the following information to proceed with the reservation and to confirm your booking. Please note that this information is strictly confidential, and Nuevos Caminos Travel is committed to keeping all information private unless it is necessary to safeguard your safety and health (e.g., allergies, medications, medical treatments, dietary restrictions, etc.).

Required Information:

• Full name (as it appears on your passport or ID)
• Nationality
• Passport or ID number
• Age
• Occupation
• Dietary restrictions
• Medicine restrictions
• Allergies
• Address, email, and home and emergency phone numbers

We will send you a form (TRAVELER DATA) to be completed with the details listed above.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

After making your reservation, Nuevos Caminos Travel will send you a confirmation of your trip guaranteeing the services will be provided as agreed.

• An initial deposit of 50% of the total program cost will be requested upon sending the confirmation.
• The remaining balance of 50% must be paid 45 days before the start of the trip.
• For reservations made within 60 days of arrival, Nuevos Caminos Travel will require full payment at the time of confirmation.

Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances:

• Cancellations made more than 60 days before arrival will receive a refund of 20% of the deposit.
• Payments must be made to the Nuevos Caminos Travel account, via a payment link, or through the website (the payment method will be specified in the confirmation and settlement document).

Nuevos Caminos Travel will NOT cover any bank fees incurred during the payment process; these must be covered by the traveler and verified with their country or city of origin.

CANCELLATIONS

Nuevos Caminos Travel reserves the right to cancel a trip under the following circumstances:

1. Failure to complete payment: If the client does not pay the full trip amount 45 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be non-refundable.
2. External causes beyond our operations: Such as strikes, protests, flight cancellations, weather conditions, forest fires, or landslides. In such cases, we will propose alternative solutions to operate the program. Any additional costs resulting from these causes are not covered by Nuevos Caminos Travel.

If you cancel your trip, you must notify us in writing. Please note that only 20% of the deposit will be refunded.

Cancellation requests should be sent in writing to marilyn@nuevoscaminostravel.com, stating the reason for cancellation.

Cancellation Penalties:

• More than 60 days prior: 30% of the deposit retained.
• 60 to 31 days prior: 50% of the total trip cost retained.
• 30 to 16 days prior: 75% of the total trip cost retained.
• 15 days or less prior: 100% of the total trip cost retained.

These penalties apply as long as providers permit cancellations.

INCLUDED SERVICES

Nuevos Caminos Travel includes all services detailed in each program and is committed to delivering them in full. If your trip includes accommodation in hotels, hostels, or homestays, breakfasts are included (varying based on the accommodation category and your requirements).

Please note that some homestays in Amazonas communities may not have hot water. Detailed information will be provided about your chosen trip.

Guiding services are arranged as follows: local coordinators (in Spanish) in some communities, and official guides available in Spanish, English, Italian, or French.

EXCLUDED SERVICES

• Airport taxes (domestic and international)
• Domestic or international flights not arranged by Nuevos Caminos Travel
• Bus tickets not arranged by Nuevos Caminos Travel
• Excess baggage fees
• Unscheduled visits or activities
• Alcoholic beverages and rehydration drinks
• Meals not detailed in the program
• Tips (optional)
• Laundry services
• Travel insurance
• Extra expenses arising from external causes beyond the operations of Nuevos Caminos Travel

Please complete our health and medical form carefully and thoroughly to provide us with the most accurate information about you.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Nuevos Caminos Travel strongly recommends having comprehensive travel insurance valid in Peru and that covers adventure sports and/or mountain destinations. When possible, the insurance should also cover costs related to social unrest or natural disasters.

TRAVEL RISKS

Some of the hikes offered by Nuevos Caminos Travel require good physical health (please carefully review the details of each program). These activities carry potential risks, such as injuries, accidents, or health issues, including paralysis or death.

These risks are inherent to such activities, and we recommend you take the necessary precautions when selecting a hike. Ensure you are aware of your physical and health limitations. By choosing to participate, you acknowledge these risks and release Nuevos Caminos Travel from any liability related to them.

Our guides and local coordinators are trained and equipped to provide immediate first aid, but this is not a substitute for professional medical care. Evacuation decisions will be made by the guides in collaboration with the traveler, and Nuevos Caminos Travel will arrange the most appropriate evacuation method to ensure your safety.

Evacuation Costs: Any costs related to evacuation (transportation, extra accommodations, medical expenses, etc.) will be covered exclusively by the evacuated traveler.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Nuevos Caminos Travel directly operates hikes and community visits, employing trained personnel and subcontracting services such as accommodations, restaurants, airlines, and transportation. These third-party providers meet the quality standards set by Nuevos Caminos Travel, but as independent entities, they are outside our direct control.

We are not liable for issues caused by these providers (e.g., lost luggage or delays) but will assist in mediating on behalf of our clients.

The payment of the reservation for our programs constitutes acceptance of the detailed terms and conditions and covers our services and all participants involved.
